Position Title: ARTISAN FITTER

Job Type Classification: Permanent

Location – Town / City: Durban

Reporting To: Foreman Civil/ Mech

Closing date: 08 August 2017

Purpose of the Job

To perform mechanical infrastructure / Asset maintenance and new installation tasks to acceptable functional and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities       

We are looking for an individual with:

  • Knowledge of health and safety standards and their application to the mechanical and related environment
  • Good understanding of mechanical l infrastructure/Assets and systems.
  • Ability to accurately diagnose problems, analyze root causes and provide sound solutions in mechanical maintenance and installation domain
  • Working knowledge of quality and compliance standards applicable to installation and maintenance of mechanical
  • Ability to process verbal and written job instructions and effectively execute them *Possession of basic supervisory and project monitoring skills.
  • Basic end-user computing skills
  • Analytical Ability
  • Attention to detail
  • Interpersonal and Communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to suit the circumstances and meet the environmental or organisational demands without breaking established organisational procedures.

Minimum Qualification, Knowledge & Skills         

  • N2 Certificate
  • Mechanical Fitters Trade Test
  • 2 years post-trade test experience in the Mechanical discipline
  • Unendorsed Code 08 / EB driver’s license. We are looking for an individual with
